Swan Energy continues to grow and thrive

The country has locked down under unique circumstances and every business has been forced to change the way it operates dramatically, however, Swan Energy is fortunate in this new world because, in many ways, it is business as usual. We have adapted how we work to make sure we are following all government advice issued, and we are continuing to grow as a business.

Thankfully, we have not needed to furlough any of our employees, and it is fabulous that we have even managed to recruit and induct a new member of staff during lockdown. Declan has joined the Swan Energy team to take the lead in developing our service offering and driving forward our strategic growth plans. We have also taken on two new EU ETS clients since the end of March and there are a growing number of proposals in the market following a steady flow of enquiries in relation to EU ETS Phase IV, Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting and Medium Combustion Plant legislation.

Except for site visits, we are managing to do all client work either on the telephone or by video conferencing. We’ve been doing day-to-day consultancy work – reviewing MMPs, working on improvement reports and putting together permit variations for EU ETS installations. We have also been working on data capture systems and reporting for Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting clients. We are also taking this time as an opportunity to develop new marketing plans, and to streamline and review our systems and procedures. This includes working on updating our unique evidence pack with a  fresh look and improved functionality by the start of Phase IV EU ETS reporting. This is also being adapted for use for Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting.

The team really has been doing a great job and keeping everyone connected has been so important throughout. MS Teams is at the heart of how we are engaging. Every morning we have a quick team check-in and we also have Biscuit Wednesday and Fun Friday for more social catchups.

We hope that your business is coping alright, but if you are struggling with your emissions reporting and compliance with energy management and environmental legislation, get in touch and let’s see how we can help you.
