Swan Energy is delighted to announce the appointment of Tony Summers as their new Operations Director.
Tony will play a key role in the delivery of Swan Energy’s growth strategy and plans. He will take the lead on managing the company’s ETS (Emission Trading Systems) portfolio across the UK and Ireland, leading the team of Carbon Consultants. He will also be focusing Swan Energy’s core service offering over the coming years and, over time, take a more prominent role in the running of the business.
Tony brings with him a wealth of skills and qualifications that will enable him to excel in this role. Since graduating in 2001, he has worked in the energy industry and environmental protection. He has worked at the Environment Agency with the EU ETS technical team and most recently as an ETS Lead Auditor for a prominent verification body, where he verified over 7 million tonnes of carbon emission. Tony also has experience of ISO 50001, CDP and sustainability reporting. A trusted name in the industry, Tony has excellent technical knowledge and a reputation for building strong relationships. He has delivered ETS training programmes for consultancy firms, public bodies, and regulators.
Commenting on Tony’s appointment, Swan Energy Founder and Managing Director, Andrew Park, says:
“I am delighted that Tony has joined us as Operations Director. He’s a great addition to the team, and his depth of knowledge and broad experience of compliance is going to be important in driving the continued growth of Swan Energy.”
Tony’s arrival also coincides with the departure of Sarah Fryer, who has been a key member of the Swan Energy team for the past five years and is moving on to a new opportunity. Sarah joined the business in 2016, fresh from University and progressed to be Operations Director. During her time at Swan Energy, the business has grown significantly and now supports over 75 ETS installations in the UK and Ireland, as well as offering other consultancy services to ensure customers are compliant with mandatory and voluntary reporting regulations and legislation. The Swan Energy team would like to thank Sarah for her dedication, hard work and support, and wish her all the very best in her new role.
