Potential cost savings equivalent to over a third of energy bill

Swan Energy was engaged by Fullers Foods International Plc to carry out an ESOS energy audit of their Leeds operation. Four years ago, we also worked with the company to submit their report for ESOS Phase 1 and, moving forward, it’s now been agreed that we’ll support them in complying with the new Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting regulations.

Who is Fullers Food?

Established in 1969, Leeds-based Fullers Foods supply own label, frozen, chilled and ambient products produced in UK, Europe and the Far East to major UK retailers and food service businesses. They turnover in excess of £290 million pounds per annum and supply more than 350,000 tonnes of commodity products into the UK marketplace

What did the project involve?

An audit was carried out of their Leeds operation in August 2019, to identify energy savings opportunities in compliance with the requirements of the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme. Having conducted the onsite audit, Swan Energy produced a report which was signed off before being submitted on behalf of Fullers Food to the Environment Agency.

What was the outcome?

The audit identified potential savings equivalent to 36% of the energy bill. All the savings have been quantified and are available for a cost recovered in less than 2 years. Swan Energy will now be supporting Fullers Foods to help them ensure they are complying with the new Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting regulations.
