PMRV System Launch Delayed Until 2023

The  UK ETS Authority released a statement on Friday 23rd September announcing that the new permitting, monitoring, reporting and verification (PMRV) system, due to be launched in October 2022, has now been postponed until 2023. Exact dates are still to be confirmed.

The intention behind this is to ensure that operators have sufficient time to prepare for the 2022 compliance deadlines.

The Authority asks operators to continue to use ETSWAP for all compliance activities (permit variations, notifications, and 2022 annual emission reports) until further notice.

Swan Energy will continue downloading all historical data available from ETSWAP, on behalf of our clients in readiness for the launch of PMRV.

For any queries on ETSWAP and the 2022 compliance approach, please contact Swan Energy.
