Andrew has over 45 years of energy management experience across a variety of sectors and comes from an engineering background. He founded Swan Energy over 20 years ago.
Andrew is a Lead Auditor for a UKAS accredited verification body for UK ETS, has a wealth of experience in the energy industry and is an expert in the operation of Emissions Trading Systems (EU ETS) within the UK and beyond.
Joe joined the Swan Energy team in November 2019. He graduated from the University of Leeds with a BSc in Environmental Science (International) in July 2019, having spent a year in Melbourne studying as part of his course.
In his role, to which has has recently been promoted, Joe manages the company’s portfolio across the UK, mentoring the team of Carbon Analysts. Joe is London-based.
Claire joined the Swan Energy team in September 2014. In her role as Office Manager, Claire is everyone’s ‘go-to’ person and a central cog in the wheel of operations her at Swan.
Day-to-day she takes care of organising diaries, invoices, meeting minutes, site visits, meetings, and hotel bookings – and when you ring into the office Claire is likely to be the person that answers.
Richard joined Swan Energy in 2019, bringing with him a wealth of experience to support the consultancy work the team does with clients across the UK.
Richard has over 20 years of environmental and energy regulation experience, having worked across a variety of sectors, including the brewing, food and drink manufacturing, engineering, and education industries. He is a specialist in providing support to organisations on regulated carbon and energy schemes, environmental permitting, large and medium combustion regulations, environmental compliance, and environmental management systems.
Rebecca has joined the Swan Energy team in 2021. She graduated from the University of Hull with a BSc in Geology with Physical Geography in 2020 and more recently with an MSc in Renewable Energy earlier this year. Her Masters’ thesis focused on how future climate change may impact the Humber region’s wind energy sector and how adaptation strategies could be used to reduce vulnerability.
In her role at Swan Energy, Rebecca supports the consultancy work the team does with clients across the UK.
Shaun joined the Swan Energy team in December 2021. He graduated in 2019 with a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering and has been working for the NatWest before joining Swan, which has equipped him with excellent customer service skills.

Tom has been working with Swan Energy for five years now. He writes and edits the Energy Briefing and undertakes some of the analysis work involved in other projects.
For a number of years Tom has been working towards his PhD at the University of Leeds and has recently completed this. His research was focused on the consequences of climate change.
